Privacy Policy — ElecCalc Field
Last updated:2026-07-29
ElecCalc Field ("the App") is an electrical trade calculator app for journeyman and apprentice electricians. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it's used.
No account required
ElecCalc Field does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the App. There is no sign-up flow of any kind.
Data stored on your device
The App saves the following directly on your device, using local storage (SQLite) — none of it is uploaded to us or any third party:
Saved Time & Material job records (labor hours, materials, costs, job names)
Saved phase-color pull checklists
Your language preference and code-standard preference (NEC / OEC / CEC)
Your subscription status, so purchases persist across app restarts
This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes it. We have no way to access, view, or recover it.
AI Code Assistant (optional feature)
If you use the AI Code Assistant tab, the text of your question is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate an answer. This happens only when you actively use this feature — it does not run in the background.
We do not attach your name, email, or any account identifier to these requests. We do not use your questions to train AI models, and we do not sell or share this data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
In-app purchases
Purchases (the AI Assist subscription) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment information — Apple/Google handle billing, receipts, and refunds directly.
What we don't do
We don't collect analytics or usage tracking data.
We don't show ads.
We don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We don't sell or share your data with anyone.
We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
